ARTIST COLLABORATION

WithUsByUs is built on collaboration. We believe the most powerful movements start with artists—and this page is where we highlight the creators who bring our events to life. From sculptors to photographers to musicians, each collaboration is a chance to amplify underrepresented voices, support global talent, and remind the world that art is a force for impact. This space is where culture meets purpose—together.

CURRENT COLLABORATION

Ralph Ziman is a South African-born, Los Angeles-based multidisciplinary artist and filmmaker whose work transforms symbols of oppression into powerful statements of cultural resilience and global solidarity. Known for his large-scale installations, photography, and public art, Ziman collaborates with artisans from under-resourced communities to create pieces that challenge narratives of violence and exploitation.

One of his most notable projects, The Casspir Project, features a decommissioned apartheid-era military vehicle, the Casspir, entirely covered in vibrant, hand-beaded panels crafted by nearly 100 artisans from Zimbabwe and South Africa's Mpumalanga province. This transformation turns a symbol of oppression into a beacon of unity and artistry.

Ziman's work, including The Ghosts Project and The MiG-21 Project, continues to address themes of militarization, state violence, and the global arms trade, often incorporating traditional African craftsmanship to recontextualize instruments of war. His art has been exhibited internationally, serving as a platform for dialogue on social justice and the power of creative collaboration.

Through his innovative approach, Ralph Ziman exemplifies how art can be a catalyst for change, bridging cultural divides and amplifying the voices of marginalized communities.

These works were co-created with nearly 100 artisans from Zimbabwe and South Africa, many of whom rely on this craft as a vital source of income. 100% of proceeds go directly toward supporting these artisan communities, ensuring fair wages, sustainable creative work, and global visibility for their skills.
